The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is April - October, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April 24, 2024 with a NTE October 08, 2024.
Duties
The primary function of Maintenance Worker is to collect and dispose of trash from roadsides, remove limbs and other obstructions from roadsides and grounds, and clean restrooms and other facilities along the Parkway. MWs also operate small equipment such as leaf blowers and string trimmers. Maintenance Workers also perform minor maintenance duties on all Parkway facilities and assist higher-level tradesmen on more complex tasks. Maintenance Workers most often work alone and possess all necessary authority and autonomy to execute normal duties. Emergency call-outs can occur 24/7.
