Duties
As a Logistics Management Specialist at the NH-0346-3 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Perform property accountability actions, make entries into the Agency's property accountability system of record, work with property owners and contract disposal companies.
Provide support with the direction, development, and performance of multi-functional logistics management operations that include planning, coordinating and evaluating the logistics actions required to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) goals and mission.
Logistics include (1) identifying the specific requirements for money, manpower, material, facilities, and services required to support the Program Manager's (PM) cost, schedule and performance objectives (2) correlating PM objectives with Program plans to assure that the required logistics support is provided at the right time and place.
Logistics work requires (1) ability to coordinate and evaluate logistics support in consideration of the twelve Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements (maintenance planning; manpower and personnel; supply support; support equipment; technical data; training and training support; computer resources support; facilities and infrastructure: packaging, handling, storage, and transportation; design
influence/interface; sustaining engineering and product support management) in accordance with Performance Based Logistics (PBL) to identify and execute specific requirements, identify and mitigate risk, and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions required to meet each requirement on time; (2) possess a working knowledge of MDA acquisition, planning, funding, and management
information systems. Research and develop Department of Defense (DoD) and MDA logistics directives and Instructions.

- Must obtain/maintain a Special Sensitive/Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
- Position requires DoD Acquisition certification coded Foundational in Life Cycle Logistics within required timeframes
- Must obtain mandatory Back to Basics (B2B) certification within 36 months of entry into position
- Must achieve 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every 2-years
Qualifications
You may qualify at the NH-03 broadband level if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
Experience performing inventories, working with property owners and auditors, and DOD property accountability systems.
Experience working with logistics directives and regulations to support property management accountability activities.
Experience working with auditors and providing training to address audit findings.
Experience working with higher level logistics specialists and across an organization to implement goals of the Agency.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
