About the Position: As Human Resources Asst (MIL/OA) Located at US Army Forces Command, STB, Ft Liberty, NC. Ft Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.
Duties
Serves as the custodian of military personnel records data for military service members assigned to the FORSCOM and USARC HQ.
Conducts in/out processing which includes conducting briefings with soldiers to obtain data needed to update internal databases and eMILPO database.
Prepare PERSTAT report using non-secure HR automated systems.
Uses word processing functions, databases, and spreadsheets to depict and track status of a robust military HR program.
Receives telephone calls and visitors, rendering assistance when possible or referring to most appropriate personnel for resolution.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Able to obtain and maintain SECRET level security clearance.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This is a Term position scheduled to last 13 Months.
- Term employment is subject to a one year trial period.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
GS-6 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1)Performing various military human resources (HR) administrative support duties to include applying military personnel rules, procedures, and operations to provide a full range of administrative and technical military support;2) Reviewing Officer Records Briefs and Enlisted Records Briefs utilizing eMILPO and eTOPMIS database systems; This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
GS-7 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1)Performing various military human resources (HR) administrative support duties to include applying military personnel rules, procedures, and operations to provide a full range of administrative and technical military support;2) Reviewing Officer Records Briefs and Enlisted Records Briefs utilizing eMILPO and eTOPMIS database systems; 3)Accuracy review materials to include correcting format, grammar, and punctuation; 4) Query military personnel databases while maintain strength and accountability; input personnel action and prepare reports for command. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent GS-04/ GS-05/GS-06 Respectively.
