About the Position: Fort Eisenhower is in Augusta, GA, home of the Masters Golf Tournament and the Cyber Center. It is approximately 142 miles east of Atlanta, 80 miles southwest of Columbia, South Carolina and 122 miles northwest of Savannah, Georgia.

Duties

Control, prepare, issue identification bades, cards, and passes that allow access of visitors on to the installation. Screen all employees, visitors, consultants, and contractor personnel daily. Operate and perform research queries in the NCIC National Crime Information Center workstation terminals IAW federal and state law. Search general administrative and security files for information requested by local security and law enforcement agencies

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) performing a wide range of security assistant duties pertaining to personnel security program; 2) knowledge of objectives, procedures related to personnel security program and maintaining background check program personnel security investigations; 3) performing research queries in accordance with federal and state laws. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementPersonnel Security and SafetySearchSecurity Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).

Education
