About the Position:This Supervisory Financial & Contracts Management Officer is located at U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center, Command Staff S-8 (ACC) with duty location of Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. (merit)

Duties

Exercise delegated authority for areas such as planning, directing, supervising, and administering all technical and operational aspects of the financial and contracting management programs for United States Army Test Center Command. Interpret financial policies generated by higher headquarters such as implications of immediate and long-range management activities, plans and decisions. Develop test cost estimating for the test customers to validate test center resource requirements based on aggregate test workload projections. Perform operations such as planning functions and resolving problems presented by subordinate supervisors. Publish Command regulations by integrating the necessary staff elements in the coordination process to provide expert guidance. Serve as principal staff advisor and provides technical and policy expertise on all financial and contract management matters. Oversee analytical reviews of all contract scopes of work/proposals.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • Temporary duty travel (TDY) may be required up to 5%.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
