You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Logistics Support Center Division withint Fleet Support Department of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.

Duties

You will provide a variety of daily routine Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor duties involving process orders, conducts preliminary analysis of the customer's requested needs. You will be responsible for the overall operations of the Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor duties, which includes processing orders for Ashore Units, and Fleet as necessary. You will interface between the Fleet and prime vendor to resolve all pharmaceutical issues from the time of order inception until delivery of pharmaceutical. You will expedite emergency requirements and interface with ships and prime vendor to resolve discrepancies in deliveries/orders and receipts, and coordinate resolution of frustrated delivery situations. You will process procurement requests in Navy Enterprise Resource Program (N-ERP) for office supplies, vehicle requirements, and other non-labor items required by the department.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating experience utilizing a knowledge of standardized federal supply regulations, policies, and procedures, and the ability to apply day-to-day servicing techniques and procedures to requisition, obtain, and/or procure standardized supplies and materials to ensure the effective operation of ongoing supply activities. You have experience utilizing one or more automated supply management information systems to enter, correct, and retrieve data; process and resolve customer supply requirements; and/or certify receipt of material, certify payments, and process returns. Examples of specialized experience may include the: 1) Applying standardized federal supply regulations, policies and procedures to conduct routine searches for required information and provide supply support to meet customer requirements; 2) Applying federal supply and/or purchasing regulations, methods, procedures and business practices to procure equipment, supplies or services necessary for an activity; and 3) Updating, processing, monitoring and maintaining data in both an Automated Supply and an Automated Requisition System related to inventory, storage, receipt and control processes; and 4) Contacting customers, supply organizations, transportation units, and others to obtain material status information, following up on urgently required items, and/or expediting delivery of materials Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
