About the Position: Serves as an Operations Specialist for the Guam Forward Element, Installation Management Command-Pacific (IMCOM-Pacific). Responsible for installation level contingency planning; operational aspects of the installation mission; exercises; deployment control, ceremonies, tasking's and emergency operations.
Duties
Responsible for the development, review and analysis, coordination, implementation, and exercise of installation peacetime contingency plans and mobilization plans, and a variety of sensitive classified and unclassified operations plans.
Formulates and executes the proper course of action pertinent to the real world or exercise scenarios in operations.
Represents Guam Forward Element, Installation Management Command-Pacific (IMCOM-Pacific) at Garrison meetings, briefings and conferences involving operational issues.
Prepares and issues directives for the conduct of recurring events, special functions, ceremonies, and/or community relations programs.
Serves as a special project officer for a myriad of actions involving Guam Forward and higher headquarters emphasis.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain a T3 security clearance.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing and publishing federal operation orders and tasking for special functions, ceremonies, training events, and related functions; and performing long-range planning and development of support operations, advising management on operational issues, and reviewing or implementing emergency/disaster operation plans This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
