Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Management and Program Analyst you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response to optimize business results and customer experience by: Provides advice, guidance, and assistance to management in a wide variety of management services areas with an emphasis on improving organizational efficiency and productivity. Analyzes and evaluates the management practices and methods, and administrative operations of the organization or segment of the organization. Compiles data and prepares administrative status reports for review at all levels.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR For GS-09: A.Have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service performing at least two (2) of the following: Assisting with planning and conducting projects and studies to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of management practices and programs. Assisting with developing new or modified approaches, work methods or management processes for conducting complex, comprehensive studies, which deal with major issues affecting administrative management and programs. Assisting with recommending administrative actions/solutions to strategies to improve program implementations and evaluations. OR B. Have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement. OR C. Have a combination of specialized experience as described in A above and graduate level education as described in B above. For GS-11: A. Have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service performing at least two (2) of the following: Planning and conducting projects and studies to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of management practices and programs. Developing new or modified approaches, work methods or management processes for conducting complex, comprehensive studies, which deal with major issues affecting administrative management and programs. Recommending administrative actions/solutions to strategies to improve program implementations and evaluations. OR B. Have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement. OR C. Have a combination of specialized experience as described in A above and graduate level education as described in B above. For GS-12: Have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service that includes performing three (3) of the following: Planning and conducting projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations. Developing and implementing performance measures to evaluate organizational productivity. Advising management on interpretation and implementation of new and revised legislation, policies, regulations and procedures.
