About the position: This position will be assigned to the Marketing Office. This position is a Part-time position with hours from 20-34 per week. This position includes the opportunity to enroll in Health and Life Insurance, 401K, and Retirement, Annual and Sick Leave.
Duties
Applicants will be reviewed and referred on the following dates: May 13, 2024, May 23, and closing on June 3 2024. Announcement will close once position is filled.
Responsible for developing and implementing marketing programs for the Force Support Squadron (FSS). Performs daily social media efforts including new posts, edits, sharing and customer response. Obtains information from FSS Managers or their designated representatives via phone, email and other electronic media sources and the FSS annual events calendar, and tracks changes for day-to-day activities, upcoming events, special programs and changes to operations. Under the direction of the OS, assists in determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation and increase financial income to FSS activities. Assists in conducting market research via the use of the standard industry practice, computer software and/or instruments specifically developed for use within the FSS, and adapts or modifies research techniques for local purposes. Assists with the deployment and execution of marketing campaigns designed to enhance customer participation and enjoyment in FSS services, programs and events. Administers pre-approved FSS leadership or AF surveys, collects data, tabulates responses, assists with analyzing results and prepares after action reports. Makes recommendations for program modifications and enhancements. May assist the OS in providing training to FSS Managers in areas related to marketing such as the marketing process, advertising strategies, customer relations and media techniques. Assists the OS in developing communication strategies to determine the most effective method of reaching a target market. Through the OS, makes recommendations to FSS Managers on the design of effective advertising vehicles. Assists the OS in conducting media relations with on-and off- base media in concert with the 45 Space Wing or higher-AF, Public Affairs Office. Provides or arranges photographic support for FSS activity and Base wide events. Under the direction of the OS, prepares and presents briefings to base functions such as newcomer's orientation, First Team Airman course and Commander's calls. Operates point of sale system, handles payments and prepares cashier reports IAQ AF policy. Performs other related duties as assigned. Operates a government vehicle.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- Ability to attend, achieve and maintain required training.

- May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty to include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds and complete a pre-employment physical.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have progressively responsible experience that demonstrates the ability to perform satisfactorily at this grade level. Must have experience in cash handling and customer service. General knowledge of marketing advertising principles, online branding and social networking, creating social and digital media, and conducting and analyzing market research information as desired. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently and possess skill in dealing with customers and the public. Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Valid driver's license required.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
