Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Patrick Space Force Base is searching for a Director for the SLD 45 Program Management Division for the 53 SOPS (NH-1101-04, GS 14/15 equivalent).
Description:
Are you ready to lead the charge in advancing key Space Force programs of national significance? We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director of Program Management to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the activities of over 30 Program Management Division personnel, ensuring the successful development and execution of major aspects of critical Space Force programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the efforts of a multi-disciplined team of military, civilian, and contractor personnel assigned to major program segments of national scope and significance.
- Establish goals and objectives that integrate organizational and acquisition management objectives.
- Plan, direct, integrate, and execute all aspects of assigned program segment(s) within cost, schedule, performance, and system supportability requirements.
- Identify and implement acquisition reform initiatives to optimize program efficiency and meet customer requirements.
- Represent the organization at executive levels within the U.S. Government, internationally, and to contractor/industry representatives.
- Make comprehensive assessments and evaluations of program and organizational goals, providing long-range planning to enhance management capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in program management within the aerospace or defense industry.
- Proven track record of leading multi-agency/multi-disciplinary efforts to solve complex issues and achieve program goals.
- Strong understanding of acquisition policies, procedures, and methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

- This position is eligible for telework 4-6 days a pay period.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- Supervisory requirements may be required depending upon the position being filled.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Unless specifically waived by the appropriate Component Official.
- Employee must execute, as a condition of appointment, a written agreement to remain in Federal Service in this position for at least three years.
