You will serve as a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST in the G-1 Division, Marine Corps Forces Central Command of US MARINE CORPS FORCES, CENTRAL CMD.

Duties

You will manage the full range of program functions, and activities applicable to management analysis activities for the Government Travel Charge Card Program. You will conduct Government Travel Charge Card Program training and presentations throughout the command. You will disseminate command specific travel policy and administrative guidelines for processing travel requests, settling travel vouchers, and archiving travel documents within Defense Travel System per DoD guidance. You will Provide AC/S G-1 with monthly administrative review of DTS operating methodologies and reporting practices as it pertains to DTS operations for MARCENT and its MSCs. You will ensure DTS users, travelers, Non-Defense Entry Agents (NDEAs), approving officials (AOs), certifying officials (COs), and reviewing officials (ROs) are trained to service standards. You will properly appoint all NDEAs, AOs, COs, and ROs by using DD Form 577. You will ensure an ODTA is available to receive and respond to DTS trouble issues presented by departments, and individual travelers. You will ensure ODTAs are properly appointed by commanders. You will research policy and procedure manuals to provide problem resolution or forward to Tier I Level Help Desk for resolution. You will retain copies of all DD Form 577s for appointed positions within the LDTA office. You will collect and submits all Authorizing Official appointment letters to the central electronic repository at the DFAS Indianapolis Disbursing Operations Directorate.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This position requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. You must be willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Promulgating command specific travel policy and administrative guidelines for processing travel requests, settling travel vouchers, and archiving travel documents within DTS per DoD guidance.
