As a Program Analyst (Data Analyst) for the Center for Minority Veterans (CMV) you will collect data from Program and State Coordinators and Managers, NGOs, VSOs, faith-based organizations and POCs at VA's administrations, offices, and centers. The objective is to perform data collection and analysis from all available resources and data repositories to provide informed data analysis reports on programs and activities to increase the utilization of VA benefits, services, and programs.
Duties
Serves as Data Analyst to analyze and advise CMV leadership on the evaluation and analysis of the effectiveness of Veteran's programs and services.
Provides data and input for CMV updates to required VA reports such as the department's Biannual Outreach Plan and Outreach Report, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion Annual Outreach Report, etc.
The incumbent will also serve as CMV's primary or alternate representative to VA's Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion (CHERP), Health Equity Coalition, Data Governance Council.
Attends and actively participates as a CMV representative at conferences, workshops, and other
events.

Specialized Experience:

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-12) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves (1) Representing an office at conferences and workshops; (2) Advising leadership on Veteran programs for productivity; (3) Preparing reports for management to keep them abreast of agency programs.
Education
There is no educational substitution for the GS-12 level.
