You will serve as a IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) In the Knowledge Management Office (KMO) of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will collaborate with others to determine knowledge/information management requirements, assess existing and emerging capabilities to fulfill those needs and provide to leadership for implementation.
You will serve as an expert knowledge/information management practitioner and functional/technical agent.
You will facilitate, monitor and promote the use and improvement of common knowledge/information management processes and approaches.
You will continually refine information management processes by combining information requirements and information flow with appropriate technological approaches.
You will develop knowledge/information management practices that support operational to tactical data exchanges in various communications environments.

- This is a "Key" position. This entails continued performance of duties and responsibilities during periods of national emergencies and/or mobilization
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following skills attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, problem solving and providing technical and administrative support of knowledge management and information management processes and tools. Examples of specialized experience should include most or all of the following. 1) Utilizing information technology to increase productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness; 2) Assisting with the development and execution of plans to support and promote knowledge/information management; 3) Collecting and analyzing information, and collaborating on development of products to support decision-making; 4) Preparing and presenting materials on information/knowledge management programs; 5) Planning, implementing and administering information and knowledge management practices, processes, and tools.
