You will serve as an HR Assistant in the Staffing Dept of one of our 5 OCHR OPS CTS.

Duties
You will review personnel requests to determine the nature of action and source of candidates (merit promotion, DEU, outside sources, etc).
You will process, code and complete the full range of recurring personnel actions for the Branch, determining the nature of action, the authority and appropriateness of the source of the candidates.
You will clear all mandatory placement programs, draft job analyses, develop/post vacancy announcements, rate applicants, and update event codes.
You will draft final job offer letters.
You will extract and transmit the information to eOPF once all of the documents have been submitted by the HRO.
You will perform miscellaneous clerical work such as using office automation capabilities to type a variety of documents such as letters, memoranda, and reports.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Providing technical support to senior human resources staffing specialists or other similar professionals;
Using office automation systems (such as personnel databases) to enter and retrieve data;
Applying rules, regulations, policies and procedures in relation to personnel staffing, placement, and recruitment programs; and/or
Gathering and analyzing basic facts to resolve questions regarding Human Resources work.

Education
Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:
Successful completion of four years of education above high school level.

A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
