About the Position: Serve as the Division Chief for the Strategic Initiatives Group, with responsibility for accomplishing the Office of the Chief Information Officer's strategic planning, communications, outreach, and engagements. Position is located at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.
Duties
Responsible for accomplishing the Office of the Chief Information Officer’s strategic planning, communications, outreach, and engagements.
Advise the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO) on strategic planning and business process policies and procedures that will optimize the use of resources to accomplish CIO and CDAO objectives.
Develop strategy and business process for the CIO to enable strategic communication, facilitate key engagements, and synchronize the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).
Supervise civilian, military, and contractor employees and plan work to be accomplished by subordinates and sets priorities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret – Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You may be expected to travel up to 15% for this position.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes directing the systematic planning and realization of information flow, communication, and/or media development to achieve desired long-term effect; developing strategic communication plans for the Fiscal Year legislative priorities; and planning workforce events which ensure communication across the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
