You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER (Master Planner) in the Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers, Planning and Operations Department, Production Group of COMFLTREADCEN.

Duties

You will utilize Planning, Forecasting, and Scheduling methods within an Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment. You will direct complex studies requiring the application of advanced analytical and statistical methods and techniques. You will manage long-term planning and scheduling efforts in an MRO industrial activity from inception to execution. You will sequence production to meet customer demand. You will develop an Operations Plan comprised of the enterprise demand plan, enterprise resource plan and the actions required to close capacity gaps. You will collaborate with Central Coordination Offices and Master Schedulers to develop future forecasts and production plans that support aircraft, engines, and components throughput. You will be responsible for Sales and Operations Planning process management, the development and management of the Five Year Operations Plan.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: Providing technical authority and expertise to establish standardized guidelines and rules for forecasting, planning, and scheduling workload; Creating a comprehensive enterprise Demand Plan based on internal and customer forecasts and enterprise equipment, facilities, and personnel Resource Plan to supports the Demand Plan; Developing and implementing instructions, trainings, workload management, policy compliance, and goal achievement; Recommending workload movement between sites and resource/process changes to fulfill customer requirements; and Formulating Operations Plans comprised of the enterprise demand and resource plan to close capacity gaps and communicating capacity issues to stakeholders.
