You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the FORCE PROTECTION DEPARTMENT of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BLAZ.
A Cost -of-Living Allowance (COLA) of 12.04% will be added to the stated salary.
Duties
You will advise the Program Director and the Commanding Officer on all matters pertaining to installation security, force protection, and antiterrorism programs.
You will plan, manage, coordinate, implement and direct an effective security program that includes: waterfront security, physical security, law enforcement, antiterrorism, force protection, and lost prevention programs.
You will manage and direct the training requirements associated with installation security forces, reserve security forces and auxiliary security forces to support mission execution.
You will organize plans, direct, coordinate and implement procedures for crisis management of situation that pose a threat to the basses' physical security personnel.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Experience applying knowledge of all Federal, Department of Justice, Department of Defense, and Department of the Navy security policies and procedures in security situations.- Experience using Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP) processes and physical security/law enforcement operations.- Experience using a variety of security equipment to include, but not limited to alarm detection devices, closed circuit television systems, locking devices for doors/windows, vaults and gates.- Experience exercising original thinking in crisis situations when there is little time for consultation or advice, problem evaluation, and still operate effectively.- Experience managing physical security programs with conflicting administrative/ technology requirements which require analysis and coordination prior to security plan and program implementation.
