You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the S-6 Department of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BLAZ.

Duties
You will begin all responsibility statements with 'You will'; each field should have no more than one sentence; list the responsibilities in a logical order; and avoid using federal or military jargon. 250 Characters.
You will provide written guidance to those authorized personnel with specific information concerning the proper handling, safeguarding, accounting and destruction/disposition of COMSEC material issued.
You will maintain all required files and COMSEC libraries as required by governing directives (e.g., EKMS-1(series), etc.).
You will prepare required COMSEC inventories and destruction forms, schedule of crypto restarts, updates and destruction listing times, circuits, short titles and segments involved.
You will ensure prompt and accurate preparation, signature, and submission of account correspondence, messages, and accounting reports per regulation.
You will oversee the implementation of Over-The-Air- Rekeying/Over-The-Air-Transfer Procedures.
You will conduct training of COMSEC procedures and provides guidance for all personnel who handle
COMSEC material.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport. May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
- The incumbent must be able to work extended or night shifts, if required by operational tempo.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- Incumbent must have completed prior to reporting the KOA manager?s course of instruction and must maintain this qualification.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Experience in applying policies, regulations, requirements and protocols that enables the incumbent to serve as the Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Operation Account (KOA) Manager and COMSEC Material System (CMS) account custodian. - Experience in the distribution of COMSEC material; initializing and keying procedures for Communications Security (COMSEC) devices; procedures for the proper handling of classified information; ability to supervise and train COMSEC material users.- Experience in providing technical advice and assistance to KMI users; and skill in applying current KMI and COMSEC concepts, principles and practices to maintain and safeguard the command's COMSEC account.
