Duties

Apply your skills and knowledge serving as the analyst and program advisor to management on administrative programs. This position requires application of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess complex management and operational program requirements, processes, and systems and data. This position starts at a salary of $117,962.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $153,354.00 (GS-13, Step 10) with promotion potential to $153,354.00 (GS-13 Step 10). The duties include but are not limited to the following: Planning and conducting analytic projects, which include preparing requirements and developing new or modifying existing processes. Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, data quality assurance, developing graphics and reports based on the analysis and interpretation of data and delivers analytical capabilities to operational offices. Selecting and modifying data collection and application techniques and methods to produce accurate and timely analyses. Providing expertise and guidance to staff and leadership on questions related to analysis and analytic methods, and support or lead workshop presentations, formal training, or informal educational efforts. Developing and reviews analytics pilot project plans and identifies areas of improvement in CBP analytics capabilities and performance.

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Extracting data from systems or reports and assessing data for quality, accuracy, relevancy, or other similar considerations. Storing, managing, organizing, and combining sets of data in logical ways to support interpretive analysis. Interpreting data, trends related to operational activities to answer questions, provide insight, or resolve other analytical concerns. utilizing data management and analysis techniques and developing dashboards to assist ongoing monitoring and to help inform agency decisions Managing programs, projects and information requests related to data analytics that require cross-organizational collaboration on varying deadlines. You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 05/06/2024.
