Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 1 Year by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.

Duties

Plan, coordinate and conduct management studies utilizing mathematical techniques, probability techniques, regression analysis, statistical/quantitative analysis methods, and other approved methods. Analyze mathematical models and plan performance in such a way that the impacts can be tested statistically and used for the analysis of the past, or for trends and patterns. Evaluate depot operations and coordinate implementation of recommendations for a more effective and economical accomplishment of the depot mission. Devise new methods and techniques for conducting studies when recognized methods cannot be applied to the work situation.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance throughout the duration of employment in this position.
• Business travel up to 10% of the time.

OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management or Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
