This position is in the Service Strategy and Finance Office, Enterprise Services Directorate, Bureau of Information Resource Management (IRM/ES/SSF), in the U.S. Department of State (DOS).
Duties
Coordinates the achievement of cost savings through vendor selections and reviews, develops favorable contract agreements, and resolves delivery and billing problems.
Obtains feedback from customers to measure the overall effectiveness of the procurement program and customer satisfaction and proposes methods for continuous improvement.
Ensures propriety of data and assists in the development of data for special in-depth reports, annual and long-range budget formulation.
Compiles budgetary data into a variety of forms, schedules, and reports, recommending and/or adjusting when required.
Performs various complex operational and administrative tasks assisting the Supervisor and the Service Strategy and Finance Office Director as requested.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Qualifications

NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement.
Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience reviewing, analyzing, and submitting contract and task order documentation.
Experience in program related budget management and analysis in order to recommend and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
