The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a logistics management specialist in support of acquisition phases and/or sustainment of assigned systems, subsystems, programs, or major equipment for an assigned Directorate organization.
Duties
Serves as the focal point for planning, management, and coordination of life cycle logistics support for a major weapon system or subsystem.
Manages, monitors, evaluates, and coordinates ILS plan implementation. Manages and monitors acquisition projects throughout their execution.
Serves as the senior technical advisor on contracts. Routinely conducts accurate analysis, to include special studies, used to advise and assist others in a timely manner.
Serves as the senior representative and spokesperson in communicating program matters.
Responsible for Weapon Systems Sustainment for Aerial Target thru Centralized Asset Management (CAM) budget execution by developing comprehensive execution plans, funding spread, conduct internal mid-year reviews in support financial reviews and CAM timelines as well as evaluate and recommend out of cycle request to leadership and conduct fiscal year close out.
Collaborate with Aerial Target program managers and logisticians to define, validate, prioritize sustainment requirements, and analyses program risk assessment

- This position also requires the employee to engage in acquisition continuous learning activities achieving 80 Continuous Learning points every 24 months.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include experience with weapons system Acquisition Logistics and/or like experience; knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning the acquisition and logistics management processes and initiatives. Typically life cycle logistics operations that encompass the entire process of systematically identifying, developing, assessing, purchasing, and/or upgrading logistics requirements through the acquisition process. Included are those who manage/support acquisition logistics activities associated with the procurement, integration, and/or fielding/sustainment of weapon systems and/or equipment or system modifications. Includes experience in developing comprehensive execution plans, funding spread, conducting internal mid-year reviews in support of financial reviews and timelines as well as evaluate and recommend out of cycle request to leadership and conduct fiscal year close out. May also include collaborating with Aerial Target program managers and logisticians to define, validate, prioritize sustainment requirements, and analyses program risk assessment to develop submission for leadership approval.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of basic theories and principles of systems design, specifications development techniques; and an understanding of acquisition and maintenance requirements as well as organizational functions involved in logistical support.
2. Knowledge of theories and principles of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning, development, and execution sufficient to coordinate and integrate functions into a total, well structured, and viable program.
3. Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, and acquisition.
4. Knowledge of contractual processes, procedures, and technical requirements.
5. Ability to plan, analyze, and coordinate a system or portion of a major system's acquisition and transfer into operational use; to include the identification and correlation of specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and to develop and analyze data to determine logistic objectives and goals, identify support requirements (including funding, contract development, and other
technical support requirements), and establish relationships between the participants involved in deploying the plan.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
