This position is located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center (ANG-E); Laboratory Services Division (ANG-E1); Simulation Branch (ANG-E16); Cockpit Simulation Facility (ANG-E16).The Cockpit Simulation Facility (CSF) operates a set of high-fidelity aircraft simulators that are used by clients for human-in-the-loop research studies to test emerging technologies and procedures for the National Airspace System (NAS).

Duties

This position serves as a Computer Scientist within the Laboratory Services Division, Simulation Branch, Cockpit Simulation Facility (CSF) Section ANG-E16. Acts as the network administrator for the CSF.

Qualifications

At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS 12. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience Includes: Experience with the networking environment of a cockpit simulator facility to include experience with real-time human-in-the-loop aviation simulator systems.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.The selecting official may decide to interview all, some or none of the candidates referred for consideration.
