You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST for the NAVAL ACADEMY.
Duties
You will serve as the expert on all aspects of USNA's execution of the Information Security Program and the Personnel Security Program in accordance with the applicable laws and DoD and DON directives and issuances.
You will develop written command information and personnel security procedures for safeguarding and disclosure of classified and controlled unclassified information as well as the original classification and marking of documents created by staff.
You will formulate and coordinate the security awareness and education program for the command (including all midshipmen).
You will coordinate and collaborate with various Administrative offices to manage Information and Personnel Security Programs.
You will ensure that personnel security investigations, clearances and accesses are properly recorded in the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Joint Clearance and Access Verification System (JCAVS), and command data bases.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- The work requires walking, and bending in regard to security checks.
- Incumbent must have been the subject of a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within 5 years prior to assignment of duties and must receive formal training from the NCI Service Security, Training, Assistance and Assessment Team.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, organizing, and analyzing organization clearance requirements to support a personnel security program; 2) Applying adjudication principles to make determinations for the granting of clearances and access up to and including Top Secret; 3) Developing policy, procedures and instructions to establish standards and criteria necessary to effect internal information security measures; and 4) Determining information security requirements required to safeguard classified and sensitive materials up to and including Top Secret.
