This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Garrison-Hawaii, Directorate of Public Works (DPW).
Duties
Serve as a Housing Management Specialist, responsible for the oversight of privatized Senior Executive level Homes and management of official entertainment areas.
Provide briefings to include statutory funding limitations, six-year maintenance plans and quarterly cost reporting.
Provide technical advice on critical housing issues including Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH), Housing Market Analysis (HMA) and other surveys, and management within an Army/multi-DOD service, privatized housing environment.
Responsible for the planning, management, administration, coordination and implementation of the housing management program(s).
Evaluate management, maintenance, and operating costs of project finances (to include furniture and appliances), development, and construction.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
