The Air Force Research Laboratory's Resources Branch seeks an interdisciplinary experienced mid-career professional to assist managers on proper position management and classification of new & revised lab demo and general schedule positions.
Duties
Provides counsel to managers and employees on complex personnel issues encompassing areas of concern including but not limited to applicable bargaining obligations, code of ethics, FMLA, Office of Workers Compensation, and various other adverse actions.
Reviews/validates the structure and functions of organizations and advises or proposes personnel solutions to management to maximize mission accomplishment and utilization of resources for both bargaining and non-bargaining unit positions.
Advises management on personnel matters that may involve sensitive issues as a result of adverse actions on personnel and removal/involuntary separation of personnel.
Plans and manages education and training program objectives and develops and implements a
multi-faceted program to meet mission needs.
Provides guidance and input to managers on proper position management and classification of new or revised lab demo and general schedule positions. Determines basic qualifications eligibility for direct hire recruitment actions and recommends recruiting sources and guidance on recruitment actions.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
To qualify for this position, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DO-01/GS-11 (or higher) grade level or equivalent in an alternate pay system (may have been obtained in the federal service, military, or public sector).
Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
