You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Logistics and Ordnance Directorate of COMNAVSURFPAC.

Duties

You will monitor shipboard ammunition accounts and provide assistance in identifying discrepancies such as Ordnance Information System-Wholesale/Retail (OIS-W/OIS-R) Out-of-Balance accounts, etc. You will conduct training for inventory management of Non-Nuclear Ordnance i.e. inventory assessment, Receipt, Segregation, Storage and Issue management support and requisition processing which includes overall Fleet customer inventory support. You will utilize Ordnance Information System Wholesale (OIS-W) to resolve in-transit discrepancies, conduct causative research resolving inventory discrepancies, and improve overall inventory management and receipt processing procedures. You will inspect Fleet customers on the health of the ammunition management of Explosives Safety Program 13 and provide recommendations to the command and inform CNSP management on findings and corrective action recommendations. You will provide training to Fleet customers and assist with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) and Management Review Control (MRC) processes as it relates to ordnance inventory management. You will make decisions concerning such things as interpretation of considerable data, planning of the work, or refinement of the methods and techniques to be used.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
