Duties

You will plan, direct, control and coordinate the mission of the Logistics Maintenance Department for EOD Expeditionary Support Unit One You will be responsible for the management and program oversight of EODGRU-1 equipment services to include Service Craft/Boat, Civil Engineering Support Equipment, and Transportation Services. You will serve as the senior maintenance policy and technical advisor to the Commander. You will develop policy/procedures based on technical expertise in maintenance, inspection, repair, modification, testing and assembly of materiel and associated equipment assigned to units and activities for field maintenance support/assistance. You will manage motor pool and service craft/boats, maintaining accountability/control of assigned vehicles/service craft, life-cycle management, table of allowance requirements, and collecting and analyzing pertinent utilization/maintenance data. You will collect, analyze, and evaluate information and data to determine equipment and material needed to support maintenance operations, issuing specifications, estimating cost and initiating equipment and material procurement. You will manage, forecast, and plan the control of expenditures, inventories of equipment, life-cycle management, replacement of obsolete equipment, and redistribution of equipment throughout EODGRU-1 commands. You will be responsible for the presentation of maintenance operations operating budget(s) reflecting monetary requirements and ensures that operations are accomplished within budget allowances. You will conduct planning and estimating program audits to assess and verify compliance with Navy procurement policies, directives, regulations and improve the effectiveness of the department performance. You will interpret directives promulgated by other departments or higher authority as related to work performed within the Department. You will identify causes and develop solutions that lead to successful outcomes.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of maintenance methods to develop and implement improvement procedures to prevent availability delays, scheduling conflicts, or material shortages during the upkeep of Service Craft/Boat or Civil Engineering Support Equipment.
