You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (FIAR COMPLIANCE OFFICER) in the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff (ACOS) for Logistics and Ordnance at COMNAVSURFPAC.
Duties
You will support the financial audit sustainment of the Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures, Navy Working Capital Fund-Supply Management Existence and Completeness, Contractor/Vendor Pay, and General Equipment business segments.
You will be responsible for all facets of planning, coordinating, and analyzing MILSTRIP financial transactions in order to ensure that the MILSTRIP business segment remains in an audit ready posture.
You will participate in financial/logistics testing, surveys, reviews, assessments, and evaluations of DON financial/logistics management policies, processes, procedures and systems.
You will coordinate with the internal and external audit/logistics communities to generate CNSP responses to DON-wide audits and logistics policies.
You will validate, evaluate, and grade logistics documents that support Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) audits and FIAR validation packages.
You will, as Accountable Property Officer (APO), maintain Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) for CNSP GE requiring an accountable record and determines compliance with the guidance contained in COMPACFLT M-5200.1 series.
You will develop physical inventory plans detailing the approach for ensuring 100 percent of all accountable GE is inventoried annually, and any locally accountable GE requiring special management is physically sighted and inventoried as required.
You will conduct periodic on-site inspections/visits to maintain custodian relationships, conduct training, perform audits, and verify that all GE is properly recorded and accounted.
You will coordinate with CNSP staff peers and subordinate activities to obtain documents supporting annual/quarterly/monthly reporting requirements, IAW NAVSUP P-485, NAVSUP P-723 and CNSP/CNSLINST 4400.1 series.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing financial management processes by auditing financial management operations to ensure compliance with financial/logistics management policies for a Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness program.
