This position is within the Strategic Leadership & Workforce Development Division of the NNSA Office of Learning and Career Management (LCM). In this role, you will work alongside other learning professionals and be responsible for implementing leadership and career development programs, advising employees on training and development options, and executing agency-wide workforce training and development policy.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Specialized Experience Statement: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service i.e., NQ-01 or GS-07/08, or 2 full years of graduate level education in a related field, or a combination of qualifying graduate level education and specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position is defined as conducting at least 3 of the following activities: 1. Managing or Implementing leadership and career development programs 2. Conducting research to assess training and development needs and evaluate training programs. 3. Developing and maintaining internal and external partnerships with other federal agencies, private sector institutions, military institutions, and/or universities regarding the development and execution of developmental programs. 4. Executing a budget for training and development programs. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must meet all of the requirements as described in this section. If you are eligible for career transition assistance plans such as ICTAP or CTAP, you must meet the definition of "well qualified" which is defined as having a score of 85 or better. You must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Education

Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position.

Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described in above.
