The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a foundational logistics management specialist in support of acquisition phases and/or sustainment of assigned systems, subsystems, programs, or major equipment for an assigned Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Directorate organization.
Duties
1. Serves as the focal point for planning, management, and coordination of life cycle logistics support for a major weapon system or subsystem.
2. Manages, monitors, evaluates, and coordinates Integrated Logistics Support plan implementation.
3. Serves as the senior technical advisor on contracts.
4. Serves as the senior representative and spokesperson in communicating program matters.
DUTIES MAY INCLUDE FOREIGN MILITARY SALES (FMS):
1. As a FMS technical expert, responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating total, cradle to grave logistics management to support a complex, major weapons system from concept through field deployment.
2. Provides expert advice for complex FMS case management issues and ascertains that overall program performance is achieved as projected.

- The employee must meet, or be capable of achieving APDP certification as designated on the position description within the defined grace period for that certification level after assignment.
- This position also requires the employee to engage in acquisition continuous learning activities achieving 80 Continuous Learning points every 24 months.
- This position meets the administrative exemption criteria for the Fair Labor Standards Act (5 CFR 551.206).
Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions for the GS 0346, Logistics Management Series.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade NH-02 or GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes developing and implementing logistics policy, and/or functioning as part of a logistics management operation providing support to a specific mission, weapon system, or other program.
NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of basic theories and principles of systems design, specifications development techniques; and an understanding of acquisition and maintenance requirements as well as organizational functions involved in logistical support.
2. Knowledge of theories and principles of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning, development, and execution sufficient to coordinate and integrate functions into a total, well structured, and viable program.
3. Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, and acquisition.
4. Knowledge of contractual processes, procedures, and technical requirements.
5. Ability to plan, analyze, and coordinate a system or portion of a major system's acquisition and transfer into operational
use; to include the identification and correlation of specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and
services needed to support the program; and to develop and analyze data to determine logistic objectives and goals, identify
support requirements (including funding, contract development, and other technical support requirements), and establish
relationships between the participants involved in deploying the plan.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
