Duties
The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to HQ ACC/A5A8P.
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of HQ ACC/A5/2, ensuring that the Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) Branch complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Represents HQ ACC/A5/2K with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Provides guidance, oversight, and advanced analytic support to the Organize/Train/Equip tasks for assigned Air Force programs, weapons systems, and processes.

- This is a Centrally Managed position in the Operations career field.
- This is a supervisory position. A one year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement.
Qualifications
This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management, Management and Program Analysis Series 0343
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems (may have been obtained in the federal service, military, or public sector). Examples of specialized experience includes My experience includes knowledge of the Joint Capability Integration Development Systems (JCIDS) and requirement management processes, and the Strategy, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution process for weapon system development and acquisition. Skill in analyzing acquisition programs budgets and schedules, developing recommendations on how to use limited resources most effectively and efficiently, and leading/participating in the development of weapon system planning increments.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the Joint Capability Integration Development Systems (JCIDS) and requirement management processes, and the Strategy, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution process for weapon system development and acquisition.
Knowledge of cyberspace weapon systems, cyber mission forces, cyber concept of operations, joint doctrine, and cyber mission threats to AF weapon systems.
Knowledge of civilian and military appraisal systems, the ability to write and communicate appraisals, and ability to write performance awards.
Skill in analyzing acquisition programs budgets and schedules, developing recommendations on how to use limited resources most effectively and efficiently, and leading/participating in the development of weapon system planning increments.
Skilled with ability to build teams, and to effectively work with a wide variety of Air Force and DoD organizations. Skill in communicating clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, subordinates, contractors, academia, and other agencies to work out solutions to problems, prepare professional level documents and studies, and deliver General Officer level information and decision briefs. High degree of skill in establishing and maintaining effective relationships, building consensus and coalitions, and resolving conflicts with a variety of individuals and organizations.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
