This position is located in the DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY (DHS), UNITED STATES COAST GUARD (USCG), DEPUTY COMMANDANT FOR MISSION SUPPORT, ASSISTANT COMMANDANT FOR ACQUISITON (CG-9), DIRECTOR OF ACQUISITION PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CG-93), MAJOR SYSTEMS ACQUISITION PROJECT MANAGER (POLAR ICEBREAKER) (CG-9326) Washington, DC.
Duties
The incumbent serves as a Program Analyst responsible for the management of business functions within the program’s technical division. The incumbent supports the planning and development of acquisition efforts and performs analytical assignments that may require the application of qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze and evaluate internal organizational administrative operations to determine their efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Selectee will be required to obtain and maintain a PM Level 2 or mid-level, according to the CG-9 Acquisition Career Guide.
Qualifications
To be considered at the GS-12 level: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. For this position, specialized experience includes participating in management studies and reviews; preparing, reviewing, and updating official acquisition program documentation; and coordinating program activities with stakeholders. Ideal candidate has experience serving in an acquisition program office supporting a technical or contract management team.
Selectee will be required to obtain and maintain Federal Acquisition Certification-Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Level II certification within 12 months of hire.
