About the Position: This position serves as a Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) or National Policy Act (NEPA) Project Manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Honolulu District, Environmental Programs Branch. The Branch consists of a multi-disciplinary group of professionals dedicated to project excellence. Our team executes multi-faceted environmental technical work such as FUDs and NEPA, using both our in-house expertise and by contract.
Duties
Serve as Project Manager/Project Manager Forward responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects.
Provide leadership to a multi-disciplined project delivery team with responsibility for assuring that the project stays focused on the customers needs and expectations.
Negotiate and integrate all District functions (i.e., planning, design, cost engineering, construction, real estate, contracting, etc.) sponsor/customer needs.
Participate in District programming decisions affecting long and short-range courses of action for assigned projects.
Provide input to the District operating budget related to projects assigned.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel is approximately 25%.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a driver's license in one of the 50 US states or possessions and any installation and/or DoD requirement.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
