About the Position: This position is located with the 200th Military Police Command, 200th Mission Support Element, Fort Meade, MD. Description of the working environment: Work is performed in an office setting.

Duties

Conduct staff visits throughout the organization to evaluate logistical readiness. Provide guidance to subordinate elements to support their mission requirements. Monitor transportation support for contingency operations. Manage the organization’s property book to advise on property accountability. Analyze directives from higher headquarters to determine logistics needs of the organization. Develop and implement policies to support mobilization readiness in all areas of logistical operation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Interpreting regulations, directives and/or policies to ensure compliance. 2) Analyzing metrics to determine requirements for logistical support operations. 3) Providing training on logistics matters within the organization. 4) Formulating budget estimates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualifications requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsFacilities & InfrastructureTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
