Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level defined as planning projects or studies designed to eliminate barriers to equal employment opportunity (EEO); researching and analyzing complaints of discrimination in the workforce in order to address employee EEO complaints; or processing requests for a Reasonable Accommodation Program.
To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as at least two of the following: planning projects or studies designed to eliminate barriers to equal employment opportunity (EEO); researching and analyzing complaints of discrimination in the workforce in order to address employee EEO complaints; or processing requests for a Reasonable Accommodation Program.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of equal employment opportunity (EEO) laws, regulations, and policies.
Ability to analyze policies, regulations, and procedures related to equal employment opportunity (EEO) or diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA).
Knowledge of equal employment opportunity programs and groups.
Skill in program management; 5) Ability to process and advise on EEO complaints and investigations.
Knowledge of Alternative Dispute Resolution, such as mediation methods and techniques.
Knowledge of law, policy, and regulations related to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Reasonable Accommodation (RA).
Skill in written communication sufficient to draft EEO written products.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
