Duties
You will serve as the Assistant Program Manager, Contracts (APM-C) within the PMW 120 Battlespace Awareness and Information Operations program office within PEO C4I.
You will support designated projects, Acquisition Category (ACAT) Programs, Abbreviated Acquisition Programs (MPs), and other nonprogram of record systems.
You will be responsible for assigned program office contracting actions, which may cover the entire contract lifecycle from inception to contract closeout, including timely input to the Contractor Performance Assessing Reporting System (CPARS).
You will assist Assistant Program Managers in developing Acquisition and Contract Execution Strategies by using best practices and market research, including the identification of opportunities to streamline contracting actions.
You will provide an overarching view of the contracting efforts and provide a single point of contact for contracting activities.
You will lead DoD contracting strategies for major program acquisitions.
You will review and develop procurement planning documentation in accordance with FAR, DFAR, and NMCAR regulations to support solicitation, evaluation, and source selection for complex services and technical supply contracts.
You will provide support in the planning, coordinating, developing, analyzing, recommendation and overall management of contract actions, including purchase request coordination, metric development, reporting and maintenance.
You will work with the PMW Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), ensuring that they accomplish required training and follow applicable COR policies such as NAVWAR Tripwires, CPARS, Wide Area Work Flow, etc.

- This position requires a Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Generally, current Federal employees applying to APS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications and pay band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and documented in your resume.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or DP-2 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience and expertise with DoD contracting strategies for major program acquisitions and with reviewing and developing procurement planning documentation in accordance with FAR, DFAR, and NMCAR regulations to support solicitation, evaluation, and source selection for complex services and technical supply contracts.
