About the Position: This position is located with the G5 Plans Division; Plans and Integration Branch, IMCOM at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Serve as a Management Analyst in a command headquarters performing general functions relating to researching, developing and evaluating assigned or designated missions or functions.
Provides technical guidance and advise on most appropriate method or procedure of analysis and evaluation to accomplish command missions.
Provides management new information and advice concerning various course of action in resolving complex problems.
Plans, evaluates, coordinates, and integrates activities with other staff and functions.
Reviews and analyzes data to identify trends, interrelationships and problems, and to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security investigation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes application of a wide range of analytical and evaluative methods, techniques, and tools to measure, assess, and determine the effectiveness and efficiency of business practices; experience with core values and concepts of business principles practices, objectives, issues, applications, and methodology to provide guidance, ensure compliance, train, advise and assess business management performance and future capabilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
