You will serve as a PRODUCTION SHOP PLANNER (SHIP FITTER) in the of Structural and fabrication shop within the production resources department PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will assure adequacy of job order estimates, specifications, sequencing and scheduling where specified for controlling job orders by revision as needed. You will arranges for or verify and expedite availibility of required material, assist trades, support tools and equipment, transportation and engineering services. You will prepare sketche or supplementary job routing or breakdown instructions. You will read blueprints, specifications and technical reference manuals. You will lead and assist trade operations and schedule dates if indicated for controlling jobs. You will recommend the need for new tools and Shop Store stocking of new items or increased quantities of stocked items based on current material problems.

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
