You will serve as a SHIPFITTER SUPERVISOR I in the Production Resources Department-900, Structural Shop-920 of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Duties
You will resolve issues and take actions to overcome bottlenecks, equipment breakdowns, material shortages and other delays.
You will review design memos or mold loft templates to lay out structures when planning shipfitting assignments.
You will prepare guides on priorities, work schedules and any other matters of importance not covered by existing instructions.
You will enforce safety requirements and other regulations and maintain records of workers' man hour charges, assignments, work progress, accidents, injuries, and causes of these.
You will review instructions, work assignments, plans, specifications to ensure compliance with shipfitting practices, processes and materials.
You will make shop sketches or drawings for shipfitting work to demonstrate methods used on job site or employee trainings.
You will ensure that tools, equipment and materials are available, properly used, stored, and maintained.
You will manage personnel tasks of subordinates, rate employee performance, approve leave requests and control and recommend disciplinary or commendatory actions.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
