About the Position:
Directs and manages a team of operation research analysts, a marketing and mission analysis NCO, and a program analyst whose mission is creating, planning, designing, and developing distribution methodology for recruiters and to achieve recruiting goals for all mission categories.
Duties
Advises the Commander on broad policy matters relating to BDE recruiting market research and analysis, recruiter distribution plans, and mission assignment.
Designs and conducts command inspections and assistance visits to subordinate recruiting BNs to insure conformity to HQ USAREC mission assignment.
Analyzes and summarizes collected data and relates the information to established policies, programs, operations plans and/or objectives.
Conducts orientations, training and briefings for commanders and staff at various levels on market analysis methodologies, mission assignment techniques.
Uses a variety of software programs, some unique to USAREC, to develop analytical methodologies.
Provides technical and administrative supervision to subordinates assigned to the Market and Mission Analysis Division.
Requirements
- May require a 1-year probation period.
- TDY required 25% of the time.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-11. Specialized experience is defined as: experience researching agency policies and regulations related to recruitment procedures; analyzing market and demographic data to identify market trends; create and develop statistical and market recruitment reports for review.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
