About the Position: Incumbent provides advice and analysis related to U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) human resources with particular emphasis on recruitment efforts.
The position is an Acquisition Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position equivalent to the GS-12/GS-13 grade levels.
Duties
Serves as a Senior Human Resources specialist working on multi-disciplinary efforts involving critical human resource management issues and problems.
Analyze and provide expert and authoritative advice related to the most effective and efficient use and management of U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) civilian human resources.
Work on AMCOM command wide multi-disciplinary efforts that involve critical human resource management issues/problems and working closely with CHRA Human Resources Service Center (CHRSC) specialists and staff.
Conduct recruitment efforts to include hiring requests, proper area of consideration, source of recruitment, recruitment questionnaires, CHRSC coordination, tracking actions, staffing panel reviews, and reporting requirements.
Provide advice and assistance to management on recruitment and placement strategies, position management, classification, and workforce shaping.
Provide comprehensive consultative services to AMCOM management officials with respect to a variety of pay systems including general schedule, acquisition demonstration project, wage grade, and government grade plan.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the duration of the appointment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the practices, laws, regulations, policies associated with human resources; (2) Provide comprehensive technical and consultative services to management on a variety of civilian human resources (HR) matters (such as Pathways Program, Reemployed Annuitant Appointments, Advanced In-Hire, 180 day Military Waivers, VERA/VSIP) related to civilian human resources management programs; (3) Create statistical reports on a variety of civilian human resources subjects; and (4) Identify, analyze and resolve complex/difficult HR problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-2/GS-11 or above).
