About the Position: Provides administrative support to 5 clusters of offices/sections within the Engineering and Construction Division.
This is a developmental position, GS-06, GS-07. Management may hire at any grade level.
Duties
Provide office management and administrative support to various offices within the Organization.
Provide financial management assistance to include executing fiscal year operating budget.
Review personnel action requests for justification, timeliness, appropriateness, and completion of forms.
Observe all safety rules, regulations and directives applicable to the work assignment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel is approximately 5%.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a driver's license in one of the 50 US states or possessions and any installation and/or DoD requirement.

GS-06 grade level
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing a variety of office automation systems and software to include word processing, spreadsheets, and databases to assist with clerical and administrative work. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-05).
GS-07 grade level
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing a variety of office automation systems to assist with financial management actions and/or operating budget. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-06).
AND
This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist types 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with 3 or fewer errors. I can type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
Time in Grade Requirement for the GS-06: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
Time in Grade Requirement for the GS-07: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Education
