About the Position: Provide general administrative, clerical, and typing support in the Executive Office to the District Commander, Deputy District Commander, and the Executive Office staff.
Management may make a selection from any grade level.
Duties
Perform administrative support to include performing in-processing and out-processing, maintaining training schedules, temporary duty, and evaluation reports.
Maintain executive calendar to schedules appointments and meetings without prior clearance.
Distribute memoranda to key personnel outlining instructions and organizational policies.
Utilize computer software programs (such as Excel, Word, and Power Point) as needed to produce a variety of text and tabular documents.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel is approximately 5%.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a driver's license in one of the 50 US states or possessions and any installation and/or DoD requirement.

GS-08: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes scheduling appointments; coordinating travel; maintaining an office calendar; and reviewing documents for correct grammar and format. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist types 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with 3 or fewer errors. I can type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
