This position is located in the Learning Center (LC), Analyst/Auditor Training Curriculum. As a Training Administrator the purpose of this position is to design, develop and implement learning programs; plan and develop new training courses; and coordinate, monitor and evaluate existing training courses.
Duties
As a Training Administrator, PT-1712-3, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Collaborates with senior leadership, managers, and/or subject matter experts (SME) to develop and assess the learning needs of GAO employees to ensure that employees at all levels are equipped with the necessary work-related skills.
Coordinates with senior leadership and SMEs to design, develop, and implement learning programs consistent with the GAO strategic plan, mission, goals and objectives.
Serves as the SME to develop training curricula for positions such as analyst/auditor, leadership and GAO-wide programs.
Initiates and/or participates in training development studies, issues and evaluations.
Analyzes training efforts to determine effectiveness of the training program and monitors and evaluates current courses for quality control.
Qualifications
You may qualify at the PT-III level if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
Basic Qualification Requirement
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Major study in education or a subject matter related to education.
OR
Possess experience reflecting that you have the ability to instruct students in the use of equipment, principles, or practices dealing with education. This experience may have been gained as a teacher or instructor; in on-the-job supervision or instruction of subordinates or fellow workers; or in work involving application of the principles, practices, and techniques of a training administrator.
AND
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band level, equivalent to the PE-IIA, PT-II, CS-II, or GS-13 level in the federal service, which has equipped the applicant with the skills and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience is defined as experience delivering instructional courses for internal or external audiences and/or assisting with the development or management of courses such as preparing course content and materials.
Education
