About the Position: Fort Gordon is in Augusta, Georgia, home of the Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE) and future headquarters of ARMY CYBER COMMAND (ARCYBER). It is approximately 142 miles east of Atlanta, 80 miles southwest of Columbia, South Carolina and 122 miles northwest of Savannah, Georgia. Ft Gordon's location offers close proximity to a metropolitan area and is an easy drive from Atlanta, Savannah, the beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains.
Duties
Serves as Training Management Office Chief with responsibility for planning, coordinating, and managing the administrative, operations, and logistical aspects of an academic training department.
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the application of logistics, COMSEC and Enterprise Classroom Automation Program (ECP) in the training execution process.
Supervises the preparation and establishment of procedures, formulating, guiding, and monitoring the training, training development, managerial and personnel functions essential to the accomplishments of the training mission.
Employee exercises full professional knowledge of the principles, concepts, and techniques of education and training in managing the assigned program responsibility.
Continually reviews and analyzes the department training programs for the purpose of establishing, managing, and maintaining effective short and long-range plans and organization for the execution of training.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Managing the planning, scheduling, and/or instructing courses for an electronics equipment training program or similar training program; (2) Developing procedures for multiple training and support organizations; (3) Manage the implementation of a Training requirements resource database and training management system such as: (Army Training Requirements Resource System (ATRRS) and Digital Training Management System (DTMS)). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
