This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position is located at FORT HUACHUCA
Duties
Preparation of the annual budget and Program Operating Memorandum (POM) for a Brigade level Command.
Analyzes, evaluates, measures, and reports effectiveness of assigned programs/projects/tasks and progress toward meeting program performance objectives and goals.
Monitors and performs detailed analyses, program progress and utilization of resources.
Demonstrated high levels of technical proficiency in resource management.
Lead a highly specialized team of analysts in managing the funding program for the Command.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) 25%
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Specialize experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the NH-2 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Provide advice and guidance to key members on budgeting and finance matters pertaining to assigned programs; 2) Oversee and review major programs associated with customer funded programs; 3) Provide recommendation on management control and consistency of program planning, evaluation, and finance; 4) Prepare and present special studies and briefings.
