Position Title: Special Security Representative

Duties
This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Intelligence, Security Division located in Detroit,MI. This position will be used to staff key positions within the Security Division. This is a one-year non-reimbursable position with an option to extend.
Requirements
- Must be a current permanent Federal employee
- Must have supervisory approval to apply to the Joint Duty Assignment. DHS 250-2 Application Form under "required documents" section.
- Must NOT have any pending/outstanding disciplinary actions
- Must have achieved a minimum of "meet expectations/proficiency" on latest performance appraisal/evaluation
- Must be currently at the grade level of the detail. *No Temporary Promotion Opportunity*
- The program does not apply to members of the Military service or contractors.
Qualifications
Qualifications required:
Planning, scheduling, coordinating, carrying out, and monitoring the effectiveness of
the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Personnel Security program.
Managing the SCI nomination process for selected applicants.
Providing administrative SCI Security support for cleared personnel, including but
not limited to visit certifications, managing Access Control program, processing of foreign contacts, foreign travel, and other appropriate day-to-day security support to SCIF operations.
