About the Position: This position is located at Fort Johnson, Louisiana. The incumbent inspect and reviews data flow of ordering, receipt/payment certification, inventory management, and contract monitoring pertaining to medical supplies and services. The individual coordinates with customers and oversees the implementation of actions involving requirements determination, acquisition of supplies and materials, ensuring equipment is in place where and when needed.

Duties

Ensure compliance of equipment safety and performance through planned equipment calibration review. Formulate multi-year budgets for medical equipment and supply requirements. Supervise a team engaged in inventory processes and supply fulfillment. Maintain supply life cycle in accordance with regulatory procedures and documentation. Evaluate medical activities to provide reliable estimates of inventory needs for requisitioning. Coordinate the transfer and/or assignment of buildings and equipment. Update property records for entire medical facility including standard and nonstandard equipment and/or material.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must complete all required training in order to oversee the Government Purchase Card Program within 60 days of hire.
  • Must complete all required training as a Contracting Officer's Representative within 60 days of hire, unless otherwise authorized for extension.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • Position is designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 9. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Human Resources ManagementInventory ManagementPlanning and EvaluatingSupply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
