About the Position: Serves as Supply Management Specialist with the responsibility for administering, planning, and directing the property management program for the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) Headquarters. The incumbent is considered the major authoritative source of knowledge about the overall supply program, technical supply specializations, and interpretation of policy originating from higher organizational levels.

Duties

Maintains hand receipts to meet regulatory requirements for inventories to include prepositioned (PREPO) fleet. Determines correct authorization, requisitioning, receipt, issue, and disposal of property book equipment for organization. Completes internal control review checklists for all functional areas within established timeframes to reports results. Processes Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss in accordance with regulations. Assists the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) with identifying potential contract violations and performance deficiencies that have impacted or may impact contract compliance. Establishes new accounts for Hand Receipt Holders to include establishing roles for performance of sub-hand receipting procedures and view only access.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential".

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing automated system to facilitate procurement processing; conducting inventory to maintain proper accountability of government property; applying federal and local supply policy to ensure compliance; and maintaining supply files in accordance with regulatory guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: supply chain management or operations management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Internal Controls/IntegrityInventory ManagementSupply PlanningTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
